Expelled!

Take a look at the new expose' with Ben Stein slated for general release this spring.Expelled the Movie

Expelled! the Movie

Ben Stein takes a sometimes humorous and often disturbing look at the prejudice in academia against any idea (or those that posit such ideas) that dares discuss the possibility of life coming from God or another intelligent designer.

The movie looks at how Darwinism affects the world view as well as some of the social and ethical impact it can have, and has had on societies; I.E. eugenics. Ben Stein interviews highly qualified research scientists and looks at how those that proposed or even reported intelligent design theories were treated. Many lost tenure, their positions or were censured for daring to explore the "heresy" of intelligent design.

These are supposed to be the United States of America. Our colleges and universities are touted as sanctuaries for learning and free thought. They are not supposed to be indoctrination centers churning out idealogical conformists. Science is suppose to be a search for pure knowledge. Its ideals are supposedly those of observation, testing and repeatability. Yet the profession of research science is frought with Leninesque thought police. Regardless of what evidence a scientist may have to follow, they dare not admit that intelligent design is even a possibility or their careers and reputations are in jeopardy.

Even if one is the staunchest of Darwinists, they should be worried about the direction our country is taking. Whether one believes in an accidental universe or one by design, they should watch Expelled!. The patterns are chilling and if you care about liberty of thought and freedom of speech, you need to see this movie. It is tentatively scheduled for April 2008.
